Pesan tersebut intinya berisi akan terjadi kerusuhan jika KPU memenangkan pasangan Prabowo - Hatta.

"Jika pesan provokasi tersebut dibiarkan kemudian dipercaya, ini bisa menjadi memicu konflik sosial," kata Letjen (Purn) TNI Suryo Prabowo, Jumat (18/7).

Menurutnya, provokasi lewat SMS tersebut sudah lama dan marak terjadi. Dia berharap Kepolisian menangkap pelaku karena sudah meresahkan masyarakat.

"Teroris saja bisa ditangkap polisi, masak pelaku begini saja tidak bisa ditemukan," katanya.

Dia menilai, pesan provokasi itu telah mencederai pilpres dan merugikan kubu Prabowo - Hatta. Sebab, seolah-olah Prabowo menjadi dalang atau penyebab kerusuhan itu.

"Diharap masyarakat jangan percaya pada pesan seperti ini," harapnya.

Selain menggunakan bahasa Indonesia, pesan berantai itu juga menggunakan bahasa Inggris yang disebar ke para ekspatriat. Berikut isi pesan tersebut;
